"Out of line" is it now, William? Please read the following as posted by a current list administrator. "No Roll Calls. I ask that you as a subscriber do not take it upon yourself to call a Roll Call. If the lists become slow, I will decide when or if to call one. The main reason for this is that the majority of people upon seeing a roll call only post a list of names they are researching and neglect to post the "when" and "where" of who they posted." This, I might add, is exactly what is happening to the current GRANVILLE roll call. Nothing is showing up on this roll call but surnames--no dates, no given names, no marriages, no children--nothing! Pray tell, sir, of what possible value is it to know only that someone else on the list is searching for a HARRIS, a SMITH, or a JONES? Blimey!
