I had sent out a note regarding a temporary free site for access to Heritage Quest. Unfortunately, after a few days, people weren't able to access the free information. I had sent a note to their technical support and after a few notes, received the following: Dear Diane, The site unknowingly violated a copyright agreement with us. They basically can not post free access, even on a trial basis to this material. Best Regards, Susan Dziadzio ProQuest Technical Support. I, fortunately enough, was able to get copies of 3 books I had been looking for quite awhile for. Sorry that the rest of you weren't as fortunate. It would have been a great access of info during the temporary free period. I had also received the following, with regards to accessing this site: Dear Diane Keiser, The trial you are attempting to access is no longer valid. You will need to contact your local library to see if they subscribe to HeritageQuest Online or ProQuest Historical New York Times. If your library does not have a subscription to these products, you can obtain an individual subscription to HeritageQuest from www.genealogy.com and ProQuest at www.xanedu.com.
