Andrew Ingram claims he was born 1758 in Granville, NC in his Rev. War pension application. In my mind it is doubtful that birth records were even recorded in those days. However, can anyone tell me if they know of a book of land records or a tax list that has names of Ingram's on them for Granville about that time? It is noted in the bible that Andrew's fathers name was William Ingram. It said that William was born 1733 in Montgomery Co. NC. but in 1733 Montgomery/Anson county were not created yet - BUT - we can guesstimate that William Ingram would have been 25 years of age when Andrew was born.
