I'm looking for descendants of Alexander Smith and Elizabeth Mitchell in Granville Co. Their children (as listed on the 1860 census in the Ledge of Rock District) were Castrine, Joseph L., Martha (mar. a Stroud), Charles, Nancy and James E. Alexander wrote his will in 1900, and it was proved (after his death) on 11-14-1902. Since Elizabeth wasn't mentioned in his will, I assume she died prior to 1900.
