    1. [NCGRANVI] Who is out there?
    2. Deloris Williams
    3. Clear DayMy list in Warren County is as follows: WILLIAMS, with Hubbard Williams, African American, born about 1826, a slave first of William K. Kearny and later of Dr. Robert Edgar Williams. I have a lot of info on him, but am still looking to find out something about his mother, Melvy, a Kearny slave, and about some of his children who were living with him in the late 1800's but have found no trace- Luke, Minnie, and Mary Williams. He lived until 1900 in Fork Township, when he died. DAVIS, with Robert Y .Davis, African American, born 1879/ died 1938, where he lived in Fishing Creek Township. He had children named Robert Garland, Ivy May, Walter, Sallie, Charlie, Percy, Virginia, Lydia, Cleo Bernadine, James Otis, Melvin, Macy and Connie Davis. Robert was married 3 times, and am also trying to find out info about his first wife, BETTY HODGES, who died probably around 1906. Also looking for JAMES DAVIS, born about 1839, Robert's father, who seems to have lived in Fishing Creek in 1880. I know of the last wife that James had named Lucy, but also looking for info on at least two previous wives. SNEED, Walter, born 1852,died 1941, was a Mulatto - the son of the slaveowner William M. Sneed in Granville and Nancy a slave on his plantation - who moved first to Halifax County, and married FRANCES BAILEY, and later to Warren, where he married MARY FRANCES GREEN, daughter of JAMES THOMAS GREEN,b. 1842, of Fork Township, and later her cousin, SALLIE BETT ALSTON. Walter's children were: Alice, Mary, Elizabeth, Alvis, Stephen, Sam, Dora, Nannie, Estella, Georgianna, William, Sallie Bett jr., Walter, Laura, Frank, Ollie, and Esther Sneed. RODGERS, Joe, born 1869, Mulatto, probably in Wake County. Moved to Warren sometime between 1880 -1900 where he married MARY EVANS, born 1878, daughter of JAMES EVANS (b.about 1845),of Warren County. James had other children, William, James Haywood, John Archibald, and Parthenia (Theny) Evans. Also looking for James father, JAMES EVANS, born about 1814, who married MARTHA GREEN, born about 1824, whom I believe is the daughter of ALLEN GREEN, born about 1790. Need info on the first JAMES EVANS family and his connections to ARCHIBALD EVANS, MATTHEW EVANS, in the early 1800's, along with any EVANS, as well as to who might be his father. GREEN, Thomas, born about 1780, and Allen, listed as Mulatto. What was their relationship, which I believe is brothers, and who were Allen's children? Thomas children were: Lucretia (Creecy), Polly, Elizabeth (Betsy), Lucy, Nancy, and William Green (born 1823, who was the father of James Thomas Green). All of the Greens lived in the Fork Township area of Warren. Warren County Census with 13 free, 2 slave, and who died in 1850. In 1790, John Green had been listed in Halifax County as head of family with 16 free, and I suspect he may have been the father of the Warren County Green family. Also in this Green Family is Allen Green, who first showed up in 1810 with family of 4 free, and suspect he and Thomas were brothers because of the close associations with their families throughout the following years. Looking for proof about the Green family relationships between John, Thomas,Allen and later Samuel, all of whom lived in Warren County from 1800 on. COPELAND, Benjamin, born about 1812, in Halifax County, was listed as Mulatto. He was married to FRANCES HAWKINS and they first show up in Warren County in 1850 with the following children: Penny (Penina), Martha, Mary, Washington (who I believe was also called John), Harrison (aka James Henry), Benjamin (Baldy), Frances (Folly), Elisha Edwin, Louisa, Virginia, and Margianne Copeland. PENINA COPELAND married JAMES THOMAS GREEN in 1867. Margianne doesn't show living with the family until 1870, yet she was born in about 1850, so I don't know what her story was. She did marry Wiley Burton RICHARDSON in 1874, in Warren County. Does anyone know who were the parents of BENJAMIN COPELAND and FRANCES HAWKINS?
