    2. You inquired about Paschal's book on North Carolina Baptists: Try these avenues to gain access to this book: 1. Access the FH Library catalog (Salt Lake City) on www.familysearch.org Do an author search. See if FHL has microfilmed the book--they often do, or they might if the copyright has expired (a touchy subject these days). 2. If the book has NOT been filmed, on that same URL look for a word FORMS. See if there is a downloadable form which lets you request photocopies from the FHL in SLC. They - FHL - will NOT photocopy a whole book. However, they will photocopy an entire index, I am told on VERY GOOD authority. Ask for photocopies of the index. There will be a charge, but it may be cheaper than trying to buy an old book like the one you cite. 3. Get a full bibliographic citation for the desired book (publisher, date, etc), take it your public librarian, and see if they will effect an interlibrary loan. Probably you will have to read the book in the library, as these genealogically oriented books are frequently reference books and do NOT circulate. 4. Also, try to access your STATE Library catalog and all the University catalogs in your state and see if any has this holding (and any other book you are interested in). One of my State Universities had a marvelous local history collection, but my friends tell me they have moved those books to an annex (tsk!). By the way, did you see my post concerning Timothy Rackley's abstracts of Granville Co., NC, including very recently, early tax records of Granville Co. rackleypublishing@triad.rr.com 6. If all else fails, contact the Baptist Association (I don't recall the full name) at Richmond University, Richmond, Virginia. Either use a search engine, or call a local Baptist minister and get a better title for that University. My Baptist minister in that area of Tar River was William Washington. He migrated to Georgia after the American Revolution. E.W.Wallace
