Although you received an excellent answer, I thought I'd let you know about Maps By Mail. Over 30 years and using 3500 historical maps, Garland P. Stout researched and drew all 100 NC counties. These scaled maps show locations of rivers, creeks (Grassy Creek along with Grassy Creek Baptist Church), mountains, ferry sites, mill sites, rural churches and cemeteries, towns and post office sites are identified on the map along with symbols. Each large (Granville: 23"X36") map comes with an index for easy reference of past and present sites. The Garland Stout maps cost $20 each. You can find these counties maps in addition to others at <www.mapsbymail.com> I have asked Santa for several of these wonderful references and have used them to great advantage. Kay Fuller Mitchell
