    2. FINISH THIS The abstracted deed cited below is found in Mecklenburg Co., VA Deed Bk 2-241. Question: Is this Mary Graves the [said to be] second wife of Henry Graves of colonial Hanover Co. (ca 1735)? She is believed to be the mother of Elijah Graves who died testate...... Is she also the mother of John Williams Graves of Granville Co., NC? And of Henry Graves, one of the witnessed to the cited deed? Mecklenburg Co. DB 2-241 June 10, 1769 from John Colebreath and Mary, his wife, of M[ecklenburg], to Mary Graves in M[ecklenburg] , for 30 pds, one tract of land in M on Bever Damm [sic] Cr, about 192 acres bounded by the old line. Signed - John (+++U his mark) Colebreath, Mary (I her mark) Colebreath. Wit - Henry Graves, Wm (+ his mark) Knight, Sraah (+ her mark) Flemon. The deed was acknowledged by John Colebreath and Mary, his wife. Recorded June 12, 1769.
