Hello, I shared this info with David on the CURRIE-L and thought I should share this info with the other list. I'm looking for Malcolm M. CURRIE. The Robert below to my knowledge is not my line. I have info from the 1850 Choctaw co., MS census on Robert M. Currie married to Eliza E., children on the census were: Cyrus C. age 16, Malvina L. age 15, David B. age 11, Joseph age 9, and Mary A. age 7. Joseph would have been born about 1841, so that leaves out my Malcolm. There is another Robert Currie married to Mary Ann Gillas. They were married in Jefferson Co., MS 21 DEC 1835. There is the 1850 census info from Copiah Co., MS showing Robert and Mary with the following children: Elizabeth C. age 20, Margaret A. age 14. Daniel age 12, Neil D. age 10, Alexander age 8, Calvin age 6, Effy "I" or "J" age 2 and Robert L. age 1 month. Children all born MS, but Robert and Mary born NC. The 1860 Copiah Co., MS census shows mary as the head of the household. The children in the household are: Margaret, Daniel, Duncan (Neil D. in 1850), Alexander, Calvin, Effie, Robert (1 month old in 1850), Mary age 8, James age 5. I would say that since James was the last child and age 5 on the census, that would put Robert Currie's death between 1855-1860. Maybe my, Malcolm M. Currie b. 1841, is a nephew of Robert Currie.
