His father was John Davidson. They moved to Montgomery Co., TN around 1800. John died in 1802, leaving Benjamin an orphan, and the boy was apprenticed to a local farmer, James C. Brown. I would appreciate any help in finding where in NC Benjamin was born and where his father was from originally.
