Please don't forget to put in dates and places when you post! This is very important when seeking genealogical information as (1) there can be multiple people alive at the same time with the same names, (2) your "unusual" last name isn't as unusual as you think it is, and (3) any information you can give when asking for help in locating a needle in a haystack is a BIG help, no matter what size the state or geographical area. If you have the name of the county, that can be extremely important. Not only do most public records end up in court houses, towns can die or disappear.
