He went to El Paso,Texas according to family talk when there was trouble with Pancho Villa. He was discharged February 4,1917. When he was discharged, he got paid $137.55. That sure was a lot of money,wasn't it? All of this happened before I was born. So I really know nothing about his service. I have a copy of his promotions to Sergeant and to Mess Sergeant and his discharge.
