Nov 1847 in Ashton N.C. Her mother died when she was 9 days old and her father when she was 9yrs. Raised by an Uncle (Know her mother's family was probably Smith) and a lady by the name of Aunt Betty Seate (sp?) in N.C. area until her uncle passed away then was taken by her twin brother (that's what the letter said) to another Uncle's place or an older brother's place - know one name of a brother - Jim Royl. would like to get a better hand on this line. - Rich.
