A Rebecca Risen is my great-grandmother. The best lead I have is that this one might be it. This Rebecca, according to data, never married and is buried in Wayne MS. Her parents are James Risen and Mary Sypert My grandfather, Sam Yeakle, was born in 1870 or 1879(unfortunately not sure.) However, most likely 1870. Bible lists a Rebecca Risen as his mother and no father listed. Birth was in Washington Co. MD. There is no trace of Rebecca after this. Theory: Could she have come to Washington CO, MD to have a baby out of wedlock? /she then returned to N.C. or MS????? I'm hoping that someone will know something about this family. Maybe this Rebecca never had a child and people are certain. What did Rebecca do all of her life? She lived to be in her early 80's Please respond to this if you know anything.
