My great grandparents were John F. Rogers and Bertha Blackwell. Their mothers were sisters Ellen and Elizabeth (Metts). I remember my great grandmother saying she was part Indian. Maybe this was true since they were raised in the heart of Cherokee country. Not sure if the Native American comes the Metts or father back. As of today I have no proof. I'm also interested in any census information. Couldn't find any Rogers in the 1880 census. Please email me at: chillyd99@semo.net
