Grandfather was also a James Clark (middle name was THOMAS) but he was born in Louisville KENTUCKY. None of the other names of his siblings seem to match up with your James Clark though. Family legendary stories have been told that our James Clark was a nephew or Grt. nephew of William Clark (Lewis & Clark expeditions) and we also had been told that the town of Clarksville Tennessee had been named for someone in our lineage (UNproven as yet) In his later adult life our James Clark had been a MINER in California and OREGON where he died and is buried . One of his daughters Olive Christine (Clark) Myers became my husband's grandmother. I do have a very old "tin-type" photo of him and we know he was of Scotish descent and had RED hair. If you'd like to hear more of the information I have on OUR James Clark , e-mail me at NeeMy735@msn.com Neomi Myers
