    1. [NCFRANKL] Adam Jones, Revolutionary War era
    2. John Norvill Jones
    3. Hello Listers: Does anyone on the list have information on either of these Adam Jones's: 1. In 1777 Adam Jones came down from upper Bute County, near the Virginia border, to the Crooked Creek area of what in 1779 became Franklin County. Sometime in 1785 or 1786 he left Franklin County with a number of his siblings for Georgia. I would like to know if there is a deed in either of those years which reflected the disposition of his land. 2. Adam Jones #2, nephew of the above Adam Jones, married his cousin, Susannah Jones, a sister of the above Adam. Adam Jones #2 was in the 2nd Virginia Continental Line from 1778 until at least 1781. Probably during that period his wife, while awaiting his return, followed her brothers and sisters south to the Crooked Creek area. I do not know when Adam Jones #2 appeared in Franklin County but in 1791 the Franklin Court made William Truelove the guardian of three of of Susannah's children (Truelove was the father of one of the three) indicating that he had died by that time. I would like to find a will or estate record for this Adam Jones. Any help on either of these Adam Jones's will be appreciated. Norvill Jones
