In transcribing late 1700s and early 1800s court records, I keep seeing the abbreviation after someone's name "Excr&c" . I know that Excr mean Executor of the estate of the deceased, but what does "&c" mean? I thought it meant "& costs" but that term is spelled out elsewhere when associated with a jury fine aSseSsment.
