    1. [NCFRANKL] 2 Adam Jones's,
    2. John Norvill Jones
    3. Hello: I am seeking information on two Adam Jones's, cousins, who were in Franklin County after the Revolution They were originally from upper Bute County near the Virginia border. 1. The name of the first Adam Jones appeared on Capt. Bryant Ferrill's tax list in 1778. He is on several land records as a witness or adjoining landowner in the Cedar/Crooked Creeks area in the early 1780s. Sometime in the mid-1780s he migrated to Georgia. I would like to find the deed where he disposed of his land before going to Georgia. 2. The second Adam Jones married Susannah Jones, the first Adam's sister and his cousin. This Adam served in the 2nd VA Continental Line from 1778 until at least 1781 and probably came to Franklin County to join other family members in the Cedar/Crooked Creeks region after he was discharged. He died sometime between 1781 and 1791 when his orphan children were apprenticed to William Truelove. I would like to find a will or estate record for this Adam Jones. Any help on either of these Adam Jones's will be appreciated. J. Norvill Jones
