State Road is located on Highway 21 just inside Surry County almost on theWilkes County line. Incidentally my grandmother's family lived in that area - Richard Walters(1819/1882) md. Rebecca Rice(1824/1885) Children were William Granville Walters, Martha Ann Walters, Elizabeth Walters(my grandmother), and Robert Walters. Any connection with the families you are researching?
