I bear an as-yet determined relationship to the Jones family of Franklin County. I hope someone can help me. According to my great-great-grandmother's death certificate, her father was John Jones of Franklin County. My g-g-grandmother Narcissa Pettiford Rattley was born in Franklin County on 20 Sept 1829. Her mother was Glatha Pettiford (c1805-1882). I have two photographs of Narcissa. Glatha Pettiford might've had other children by this particular John Jones. Considering that Glatha had her first child in 1818 (and presuming Jones is the father), Jones was probably born before 1800. Was there a John Jones in Lewelling's family who might've been born prior to 1800 and still living in 1829? Robert Jackson
