I wish more people in Franklin Co. put information from there on this list like Mark Murphy. Thanks I am looking for information about Spencer Brown and Mary (Polly) Debnam. Family tradition is that Spencer's parents died young and he was bound out to a uncle on his mother's side and it is thought that his mother was a Foster. They married in Franklin Co. 13 Dec. 1821 or 27. The copy of the bond I got was hard to decide if it was 21 or 27. They moved to Tennessee before 1829, first to Maury Co. and then to Williamson Co. Spencer died in Williamson Co in 1836. If anyone knows anything about the parents of this couple, I would certainly appreciate hearing from you. My husband and I both descend from this couple.
