I'm wondering if the John YOUNG mentioned in the 1784 tax list of Franklin County, NC could possibly be my ancestor of the same name. My John YOUNG was born in VA or NC about the 1760s; married Susan Elizabeth PARKER; and had children somewhere in NC named Sarah, Bartheny, and possibly Betsey YOUNG. John's brother Richard was born about 1766 and may have been living with the family or nearby. John and Richard YOUNG moved to Greenville District, SC about 1795.
