I think I sent a thank you to everyone who gave me information or addresses for Stephen Bradley and Joseph Watson but just in case I missed anybody who offered an address or website, thanks again. Quite a helpful group on this list. I guess I am the only one that did not know about them until I visited Louisburg last month on aancestor hunt. I'm about to place an order for several Bradley books. Still looking for possibility of purchasing a Watson book. Pat Autry
Bradley Publishing has a website: http://www.telpage.net/bradleyp/pub.htm Reprint Publishers used to have the Franklin Co series by Watson if I remember right. Hopefully they are still in business.
Searching for the names of the children of James Byrd. James b. about 1772 in Bute Co,N.C. married Lucy Lanier 1798. Does anyone know where to purchase the book, Franklin County Kinfolks of Franklin County, North Carolina 1793-1844 by Joseph W. Watson published 1985 or have his email address? Also does anyone know whether Dr. Stephen Bradley Jr., who has the following "abstract" books, has an email address that he can be reached at? (was in Keysville, VA when published) 1. Will Books H, I, J Franklin County, North Carolina Wills, Estates Records, Guardian Accounts 1824 -1834 (1992) 2. Will Books E, F, G Franklin County, North Carolina Wills, Estate Records, Guardian Accounts 1812-1824 (1989) I'm guessing that since he did these he probably also did Will books A, B, C. I would be interested in purchasing these books. Please respond to my personal Email since I think that I am no longer a subscriber to this list. Pat Autry

It's possible that Perkins Library at Duke might have copies on microfilm. They have an incredible collection and some small papers you wouldn't expect to find. Worth a try.
Hi Julie, I am also trying to learn more about the BRIDGES family in Franklin Co. I descend from Mary BRIDGERS / BRIDGES who was born in 1807 in NC. She married Ahijah / Abijah ATKINSON in Franklin Co. in 1824. At this time, I have no idea who her parents may have been. They moved to AL , then MS, then finally to Bradley Co.,AR where she died of typhoid fever in 1869. Have you ever heard of an Alfred BRIDGES? I believe he may be a brother of hers. He was also in the same places as she and she named one of her sons Henry Alfred ATKINSON so I think there may be a relationship. I'd appreciate any insight. I'm going to look at your web page now.
