    1. Re: [NCFRANKL] BRADFORD in Franklin County, TN
    2. Judith
    3. Dear Bernie and List, the Bradfords were in Northampton co. NC for at least fifty years. 1759-1779. they came from Charales City Co. VA to Northampton co. NC. There is quite a bit of research of these Bradfords done by David Thomas Bradford. (an entire book onlline that is very facinating.) Philemon Bradford II came to Granville co. NC and lived next door to our ancestor, Peter Vincent. Philomen II was a land speculator and surveyor along with our Peter. I have forgotten the URL for the site, but you can find it by researching Philomen Bradford on Genforum--or--if you don't mind downloading an enormous attachment, contact me and I will send it. 3. Hello Franklin County, Is there anyone on the list who would have access to published abstracts of old Franklin County records who would be willing to look up some specific references? I would be most appreciative if someone would look in the published deed record abstracts for ANY references to Blount COOPER for the 1805 - 1827 time period My ggg grandfather, Edmund Blount COOPER married Jinnett PHILLAW in Bertie Co in 1799 and were enumerated there in the 1800 census. Late in 1800 they purchased 600 acres in FRANKLIN County and apparently moved there. In 1803 a bill of sale records a transaction from Henry Thompson and Isham Boyce of Bertie Co to Blount Cooper, "of Franklin County." In 1805, Blount Cooper, "of Wake County" conveys to Bartholomew Fuller of Franklin County a 450 acre tract of land which appears to be out of the 600 acres above. Blount Cooper lived in the Fishdam Ford District of Wake County until 1827 when he moved his family to Henry County Tennessee. I also find references to him in Granville County records for the same time period. Thanks very much Will Cooper Dorris, CA
