Hello Vanessa, I do not have any BARNES in my direct line, but my 3g-grandfather's brother, Duncan Robbins, married Peninah Barnes (b. 1810 in Edgecombe) and they migrated to Rankin County, MS before 1840. I have some Barnes history in my files - all to do with the Edgecombe County, NC families. If you have some "specific" questions perhaps I can help you.
