There were a number of Mills families who settled in early Sumner County, TN, and they may have been connected in some way -- neighbors or such -- to the Bloodworth family who came to Sumner from Edgecombe Co., NC. They lived in a neighborhood on the Ridge in Sumner Co. with Boykins, Strators, and Taylors, among others. There were also Lassiters in Sumner Co. The Boykins and Bloodworths were related by marriage from their NC period. Timothy Bloodworth who lived on Station Camp Creek in Sumner Co. (below the Ridge) married Mary Julia Strator, and they named one of their children (my grandfather) Mills Taylor Bloodworth. Sumner County might be a good place to look. Check the Sumner Co.
