H. The G. age 3 is close enough to be your George. And, all the children's birth places are listed as N.C. Hope this helps, Traci the Librarian Traci, It didn't sink in until just now, wasn't Jno an abbreviation for John? I was always told that my George's father's name was James H. Savage (says that on George's death cert too). If it's not too much trouble, could I bother you to check the 1860 census for me for my George A. Savage and family...he'd have been about 14 by then. Thanks so very much once again. He was born 1846 to James H. Savage and Kate Barfield how married in Tarboro. I'm hoping to find out who George's siblings were and where his father James was born. I have conflicting info at the moment...one record says NC and another says VA. Thanks so very much for your help!!
