    3. Hi Sandy, Thank you so much for the will abstract! It is unfortunate he didn't name the slaves, but I do have a second shot. I saw an estate record for Peter in the estate abstracts pages I have. Maybe the slaves names are given there. It is interesting that Willis didn't receive any slaves from his father. > Dau: ELIZABETH > KNIGHT, negro. WALKER > KNIGHT'S 5 youngest chil: JAMES, MARTHA, SISLEY, > JOHN and CHARLES KNIGHT, 25 > Pounds each. Wit: DAVID LAWRENCE, JAMES WEEKS" I have been having trouble figuring out who this Walker Knight is. According to Walker's will abstract, his wife's name was Elizabeth. So is the Elizabeth in Peter's will a daughter in law, or his daughter? Is there an 1800 census for Edgecombe Co.? If so, could someone look up Peter Knight and family for me? I know he was in Edgecombe then...his oldest children were born in Edgecombe. Thanks, ---Karmella __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Make a great connection at Yahoo!
