Greetings List, Everyone has been extremely helpful thus far. Thank you! I need a little assistance in interpreting a census page (copy) I received: 1880 Edgecombe Co., Upper Fishing Creek Township, town of Whitakers, pg 137C. I am having trouble reading the names in household #118 from the copy I have. Could someone who has quick access to this census transcribe the 7 names for me? The surname looks like "Hill" but I am not sure. Also, I noticed on my 1905 Edgecombe map that there is a colored Baptist church and a colored school near (right outside of) Whitakers.
