Perhaps, I should write an entire article about all of the white people who have helped the black Lancaster family discover their roots in Edgecombe County!! Would ECGS publish it along with the recent discovery and survey of the Old Dr. Mercer Farm Cemetery (located on what is now Ruth Womble Johnson property) near Temperance Hall crossroads?
