Hello list, I will be starting research on Black families of Edgecombe NC. I have a very elusive ancestoR from there: THOMAS KNIGHT. I am interested in he surnames KNIGHT, SCOTT, MARTIN, and SANDERS. These are the families that moved from NC to MS with Thomas Knight. Since there seems to be so little on Black Edgecombe families, I will expand my research to cover the whole county.
