Louise Evans, and list: Does the book, Kinfolks of Edgecomb Co., mention Colemans? I have a couple of marriages and a dozen or so will abstracts for Colemans of Edgecombe County, NC. I also note the fact the family is shown in Halifax County, NC in the 1790 U.S. Census, so they most likely settled in the Northern part of Edgecombe County, NC which became Halifax County in 1758. My Edgecombe County Colemans originate from Robert Coleman of Nansemond County, Virginia. His son Robert or his grandson Robert (third in the line) died and left a will in Edgecombe County, NC. The family as I believe it was is outlined below. If there are others connected to this line with corrections or additions, please contact me. Thanks.
