Traci, Thank you so very much for the information on Joseph Davis, my Revolutionary War ancestor with proven service. The Joseph Howell mentioned in the deed was his father-in-law. I will write for a copy of the deed. Family tradition tells that Joseph was from Bertie Co. but I find no information there. I will keep looking! Thanks again! Edith Cox
