Hi y'all, Just received an email from one of our subscribers which was intended to be sent to all the lists but since it included HTML, I was (I believe) the only one to receive it. I'm sending this to all "my" lists since I cannot tell which lists were intended to receive the message. PLEASE check your PC for a file called "happy99.exe". DO NOT click on it if it shows as an attachment to an email. It is a nuisance virus, a "worm virus", which once activated attaches itself to all outgoing email. I use Eudora and have a separate directory for ALL attachments which I've labeled "Suspect". I found "happy99.exe" in this directory and I deleted it but this means some/all of you received it too. If you clicked on this attachment, you saw a fireworks display which may have appeared to be a "nifty" email graphic. I sincerely hope none of you would ever, ever click on a file attachment with a .EXE file extension but if you did, check your Windows System directory (or your entire PC hard drive(s)) for ska.exe and ska.dll. If those files are present, you have this virus. Do NOT send email until you clean it off your PC. What concerns me is that I have an anti-virus program which is pretty darn good and it did NOT alert me to this file. It's only because I routinely check my "Suspect" directory to weed out those irritating .VCF files that I even saw it. If you have an anti-virus program (like McAfee, Norton, Dr. Solomon's, etc.), please go grab the "innoculation" file for this. If you did NOT click on the attachment graphic and see the fireworks, not to worry. I truly hate to pass this on but it is not a hoax, it is very real and although it will not (as I understand it) harm your PC, you will continue passing it along, IF you activated it, through email. It's one of those replicate, replicate, replicate things which can bring down a network if enough people pass it on. I'm looking for any information on the HUDNALL surname. Specifically interested in John HUDNALL and Robert HUDNALL. I need proof that Robert was John's son. The years would be approximately 1700 through 1730. I have something that says John died in 1703 and that his son was born in 1713. I believe that someone most likely copied things down wrong at some point in time. There are several John HUDNALLs, all related, but so far I've only encountered one Robert HUDNALL. Robert was born in Nansemond Co. Virginia, but died in Edgecombe Co. North Carolina.

If anyone is going to the Archives or knows where they can get a copy of this will I would appreciate a look-up. I've been told that Edgecombe County doesn't make copies of wills or do look-ups and that they probably don't have the old will books anyway. I'd like to get a copy of this will if at all possible. I'm searching for the family of John and Britton Bridges, who bought land in Livingston County, KY in 1804. Before coming to Livingston County, they evidently came through Williamson County, TN, where Britton purchased the land in Livingston from Jacob Scott. Britton married Polly Scott, and she and at least one of their 3 children (Rebecca, Edwin, William) were born in TN. Britton died by 1810. His children inherited from the estate of a John Bridges in 1816, whose estate was administered by a Jesse Williams. One person said that Britton and John may be the children a John Bridges, son of Faith and Edwin Bridgers/Bridges of NC. Does anyone know to whom this family belongs? Looking for information on Sampson Davis b. 1755 Edgecombe Coounty. In 1769 he may have been in Dobbs County and in 1784 he was in Sampson County. He was mentioned at the first court session so must have been in Duplin. He moved to Bladen Co. by 1785 and died there in in 1840. Do not know name of first wife, second wife was Ruth Bryan/Bryant m. in 1815. Only known son is Sampson Davis, Jr. that moved to Lowndes Co., Ala. He was a revolutionary soldier and the last known deed was at Bryant Millpond in Bladen Co. He is the grandfather of my Issac Davis b. 1805 in Bladen Co. but we can not identify the link.
