Can anyone i.d. this Whitfield? On 1 Aug 1843 a Win. S. Whitfield in Fort Valley, Houston Co. Ga., wrote a letter to the Clerk of Court in Craven Co. NC asking for a copy of the will of Joseph Tooker, who had died some 40 years earlier. Will said to be on record.
