Hi, Just a correction, Serecta should be spelled Sarecta. As for the question of the Jones/West Conection reguarding Samuel West Jones as far as the extensive research that has been done on the Jones family there is no connection to the West family. Samuel West Jones was my great uncle. His brother Rev. Felix Elisha Jones was my great grandfather. I grew up 2 houses down from Uncle Sam and Aunt Annie. I suspect that Samuel West was named for his great grandfather Simon West McLaMoore. Samuel West Jones died the same day as President Harry S. Truman.
