My Hollingsworth family starting with Stephen Hollingsworth, son of Henry Hollingsworth, son of Valentine, was born in Chester co., Pennsylvania. First moved to Maryland, where he served as a Magistrate. then to obtained a land grant of 471 acres on the Shenandoah River in Virginia..and in 1746, had 600 acres in New Hanover co. on Muddy Creek.. Most of the Hollingsworth family stayed in the Duplin, Sampson area.. Henry Hollingsworth married Mary Murray James Hollingsworth married Mary Thomas These 2 stayed in North Carolina Zebulon, Valentine and Timothy..moved south to Georgia in 1770. Just thought I'd share..Jackie Purdy, Shingle Springs, CA. Stephen Hollingsworth and Anne Robinson died sometime between 1748 and 1750.
