Hi all, I just wanted to send a quick note through the list to let you know that many new things have been added over the weekend, and today and I hope you take the time to check them out. The site has gone from less than 200 pages when I took it over to 347 at last count by the indexes. I try to keep the site indexed each time I add new info, but sometimes it takes a little while for it to be totally indexed so if you don't find what you are looking for when you do a search, try later that day and see if something new pops up. I want to give each and everyone of you a BIG THANK YOU for all the information you have been sending in, and for the ones that have stepped forward to do volunteer look ups in their books, and please keep it coming! I should have the 1790 census finished and up online within the next couple of days, and someone is also working on the 1800 census to be posted. I will send a message through the list when these are complete and posted on the site. If you would like to volunteer to help out by transcribing a year on the census please let me know and we can get you started with it. The more people we have helping to transcribe them, the faster we can get them online for everyone to utilize. Some things that are new: Obituaries dating back to the 1800's listed under Duplin County Obituaries. Yes, this is different than the ones from the Duplin Times obits. New Wills have been added. New Veterans have been added to the Duplin County Civil War Veterans. New look up volunteers have been added to the Duplin County Published Resources with Lookup Volunteers Frank Lanier Cemetery has been transcribed and added. 26 land deeds were added. New queries and surnames have also been added. I have also added this link: http://www.geocities.com/jkhoward86/ Under Duplin County Families. He has a lot of obituaries on the site, with everything indexed by years and then by names. He has info on Cavenaugh ( all spellings) including these families: Aldridge, Anderson, Batts, Brown, Carter, Cottle, Dail, Daugherty, English, Lanier, Maready, Norris, Padgett, Padrick, Rivenbark, Rouse, Savage, Sholar, Teachey, Thompson, Wallace, Whaley, Wood Please check Kevin's site for info on your ancestors as well! I hope you all enjoy all of the new info and I look forward to adding any new materials you would like to send in!
