Roy, Hugh Hunter, Sr. 1818 - Apr. 4, 1863 Hugh Hunter md Malinda Brinson, I have a deed that is dated Aug. 18, 1846 from John Brinson & Edward Hunter. In this deed John Brinson & Edward Hunter give land to "John E. Hunter, minor son of Hugh Hunter" farther down in this same deed it says "to John E. Hunter, our grandson". This deed is in Duplin Co. deed book K-19, page 25 Hugh Hunter Sr is one of my lines. Hogan Hunter: I have Hogan belonging to Nancy? who later, as Nancy Hunter married Isham Lanier. In the deed book Index it lists a William Hunter & Nancy Hunter conveying land to someone else. I'm not sure yet if this is Hogan's parents but will keek looking.
