Cypress Creek, if you look at a map of Duplin County, lies above its line with New Hanover County and runs from the NE Cape Fear River toward Onslow County with Black Swamp and Nine Mile Creek extending from it. Ah.. another place to look for your Hunter folks is in A.B. Pruitt's Abstracts of Land Entries for Duplin County, 1778-1795; and Sampson Co, 1734-1795 and 1853-1860... if you've not looked there yet.
