Hi Diane, African American Family. I would like to find out more about Bessie Iv(e)y b. abt 1829, d. before 1900, NC resided in Duplin Co, NC. She married Essex Mathews b. abt 1830 d. after 1900. I would like to find out where they were born, if NC or some other place. I am researching Bowen, Fennell, Mathis/Mathews and Newkirks were borders in the Mathews house of one of the daughters.
