    3. Diane, You're doing a fantastic job. Here's another possible option. If they allow you to copy the cards, but refuse to allow you to post them on the Duplin site you could scan or transcribe the cards in microsoft word. Then you can distribute the information via e-mail to the individuals who requested their respective families. Just an idea.> Date: Tue, 26 Feb 2008 19:42:20 -0500> From: garebel@embarqmail.com> To: ncduplin@rootsweb.com> Subject: [NCDUPLIN] Leslie Brown Cards> > Hi all, > > I have some bad news and some other news. > > For the bad news... > > I was contacted today by a member of the Duplin County Historical Foundation> (not the same as the Duplin County Historical Society) saying that the> Leslie Brown Cards as well as the Dallas Herring Library are their property.> I was told I have to ask the Board permission to post any of the materials> from Dallas Herring's Library, and it would be to their discretion to allow> me and us permission to use and/or post the materials. > > I have written this person back and asked for a list of the Board members,> their positions on the board as well as their contact information, so that I> can ask "permission".
