Diane, In looking at the list of surnames, I saw where you were listed on the Brinson's. My gggrandmother was Margaret Brinson who married Joseph Brooks. My greatgrandfather was William Riley Brooks! I have some information gleaned from friends in 2002 that I would be glad to share although you might already have it.... it mentions the Spleight connection.... Also, will you add the following to the surnames I'm looking at, please: 1) Brooks specifically those who lived in Craven, old Pamlico(sp) and Duplin during the 1700-1800's. Line of interest is Spring Brooks born in 1785 who married a Hanna Wheaton(sp?) 2) Add to "Groves" specifically the family of Walter Groves who married Susan Ann (Sudie) Merritt (b:1887) in late 1800, early 1900. I have a picture of Walter holding Lucy Groves taken approx.1920. Also have picture of Rena Merritt, sister of Susan Ann who married Jim Newsome and raised some of Susan Ann's children (Susan Ann died young and children were scattered). 3) Beasley, specifically the line of Auston/Austin Amos Beasley in late 1700's forward. 4) Smith, Archie who married Melva Groves in 1900.
