Hi all, First off, I want to thank each and every one of you who sent checks to try and purchase cards. We would have been able to purchase all 43 families we were interested in and would have been able to give the library (as of today s mail) $1, 125.00 for the copies. Each of you were very generous with your checks and I do appreciate that. Your checks have been returned to you or destroyed if that is what you asked me to do. I also want to apologize to each of you personally for the emails that were sent through the list, they should have been sent directly to me as web master of the site instead of involving each of you so an agreement could have been reached. I would have in turn let you know what was going on without everyone getting upset. Let us please drop this now. If you have any questions about it please email me directly. Now, it is time for us to move on to other projects. We are all here to gather information on our families not to work against each other. Remember family history and information is for sharing not just for us to be a collector. As I told you in a past email this is Women's History month. Let's all work together and get some information gathered and posted on all of the great women from Duplin County. Ruth Faison Shaw is one such woman. She was known as the "First lady of finger painting". If anyone has ties to her and has information on her it would be great if you could share some information on her for us to add to the site. Also, if you know of any other great women from Duplin please consider sending in some information on them as well. I am still looking for people to do transcriptions as well. I still have stacks and stacks of materials that need transcribing so they can be posted to the site. If you are interested please contact me off list. So come on Duplin, let's pull up our boot straps and move on to bigger and better things! Happy Hunting!
