    3. I have been calling and emailing for a couple of weeks now with no return phone calls or any answers to my emails. I have however been hung up on, on a couple of occasions now when I called. Here is an email I sent yesterday to which no reply has come. -------Original Message------- From: Mike & Diane Date: 3/3/2008 11:28:27 AM To: fussellh@earthlink.net Subject: Card Collection Horace, I wish you would have contacted me before sending these messages through the mailing lists. I have repeatedly requested that Fred send me a list of board names and contact information so that I could contact the board in reference to these cards and I never received a reply. I did not know you were a member of the board or of anyone else with the exception of Fred. We could have tried to work this out without getting the boards all in an uproar. Would you please explain to me why the cards cannot be posted on the site? We were not gong to post all 36,000 of the cards as you say. We were going to post the ones that people were interested in. This in turn would lead more people to the library and would have made people a lot more interested in its holdings. I do send messages through the list about the library, about it needing volunteers, holdings, etc. I also advise anyone looking for information to go to the library including sending the phone number of the library to many people as well as the lists so people can make appointments to go there to get information. I have had people for months tell me they get no return phone calls and I tell them to keep trying, and yes this was before we ever became interested in the card collection. I have never tried to get a volunteer inside the library to gain access to the materials there. I am not one to stoop as low as you have portrayed me to be. I would never put anything on the site that has a copyright without the original authors permission, or permission from one of their decedents. Compilations of facts are not subject to copyright, hence they can be posted without the original authors permission. I have however posted where the cards came from as well as information on Leslie Brown. I truly believe we could have worked something out to benefit everyone with this.
