A number of, if not the majority of the USGenWeb sites and projects will be moving to other servers in the next few weeks. So, if your county site disappears please remember to contact the web master for that site to get the new address. Rootsweb/Ancestry/TGN/Myfamily.com have passed a manditory ruling that says they are going into our sites and posting banners on each and every page that is on their servers. This includes the USGenWeb Project and in turn each states GenWeb. I do not want the huge banners on any of the sites that we have all worked so hard in building and maintaining so I will be moving them to avoid advertising on all of our pages. There are also some other things that they have incorporated for the sites which I will not get into. Just know that I am working to keep everyone's best interest at heart and I hope you will agree with me on the move of all of the sites to keep the huge banners off of all of the pages. (yes, they say each and every page. Wouldn t that be hideous?) I will send the links to the new sites once the move is complete. This will be a seamless move, the only difference in the new site and the one we have now will be the links. : ) If you know of anyone off list that visits the site frequently please feel free to send this message on to them.
