Keith: I saw your mention of your "confederates' list". Does your list have Jesse R. HENDERSON, Co 30th NCT? If so, do you ahve any clue as to his parents/siblings. He died at Gordonsville, VA, 28 Mar 1863, leaving wife and 4 minor children. I've never found any record of widow's/children's compensation. She and childrern moved to Cumberland Co with her father, Elijah BUTLER, sometime between 1863 and census time 1870. Also, a piece of land Jesse/Mary Amanda bought in 1854, must have been swallowed up. I've found no record of sale, repossession, or any other disposition of this property.
