Does anyone have anything from the archives to show that Serena/Arcena Williams who married Dawson Pickett was the daughter of John Williams, ca 1790? It's very hard for me to get to Raleigh to the archives to look up the Duplin Estates folders and John Williams to see if there is any evidence to photocopy proving that Serena/Arcena was his daughter. John Williams (1790 & Prescilla Barnes) was the son of John Williams (d. 1761) and Prudence (?), son of Anthony Williams (d. 1717, Chowan) and Bartha (Bush), son of Lewis Williams (d. 1717, Chowan) and Mary (?). It might be possible to get the verification through Prescilla Barnes Williams, dau of Jacob Barnes, d 1764, Edgecombe, son of Joseph Barnes, d 1751, Northapton, son of Jeremiah Barnes of Perquimons.
