I am researching Benjamin Joel Heath, my g-g-grandfather. He married Hepsey Smith and lived in Duplin and Pender Counties. He served in the Civil War. Per some old notes I have his mother's name was Barbary. His father died prior to 1850 because his mother was listed as head of household in that Census. Through a process of elimination I have found a Barbary Heath who married William Heath (the same one listed as an heir in John William's will - his son-in-law married to daughter Barbary). Marriage bond records show that William Heath married Barbary Williams 3-26-1789. Though the time line seems long (1789 marriage and a son who served in the Civil War) it is not completely illogical that Benjamin Joel Heath was the son of William Heath and Barbary Williams Heath. Do you have any information on Benjamin Joel Heath? Is he in fact the son of William and Barbary? Do you have any info on who William Heath's parents and grandparents were? Do you have any info of who John Williams' and Prescilla Barnes' parents were? Any info you could give me would be greatly appreciated. --part1_38288718.24e970bd_boundary--
